The Archaeology Of Self

  • The BE Hive 6427 Sunset Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90028 United States

A 4-part workshop beginning on September 11th and running monthly on October 9th, November 13th and December 11th

A conversation in deepening our personal story. How our history, familial roots, context and culture define who we are. Four half-day meetings September through December that focus on better understanding where we come from, how we fit into the larger narrative of our culture, our society and our families. The conversation and journey are intended to deepen our experience of Self. How much do we really understand our ancestral lives? Do we see ourselves as decedents? Do we feel the responsibility that lies within our lineages? And mostly, do we understand how important we are to the telling of a larger story. Between monthly meetings participants will engage in a journey and process of self discovery including genealogy, DNA testing, family oral histories and personal storytelling. Participants will also discuss their dreams, aspirations, hopes for the future and a design for what is to come.
