Healing Hands: The Art of Touch with Cobi Konadu

Want a fresh new approach to relieving stress and promote healing in your body? Come experience the Healing Hands Wo rkshop to learn unique ways to create balance in your daily life through the healing power of your own touch. Cobi Konadu is a certified wellness practitioner based in New York. She is excited to share her knowledge on the Japanese healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu.

In this 90­minute workshop you will learn how energy circulates through the body; gaining insight on how our lifestyle can affect us leading to: stress, tension, fatig ue and pain. You will acquire easy to use self­help methods that become tools for you to utilize at any time or place, to alleviate disharmony and restore balance back to your body. We will close the workshop with a 30­minute hands on guided meditation. The intention of Jin Shin Jyutsu is to bring positive awareness and empowerment back to your body through the power of your own touch.

Treat your yourself to a gift, where you can release all stress and find a moment of peace. Enjoy the deep relaxation that a massage can create but experienced through the power of light touch. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a Japanese healing art similar to Reiki, that uses light touch to holistically restore and revitalize all aspects of the body. Simple, yet powerfully effective at relieving daily fatigue, stress or chronic ailments. Hands are gently placed on the body in specific locations to help remove blockages and congested areas, creating an opportunity for balance within the mind, body and breath. It is a wonderful compliment to incorporate into any existing wellness plan. In addition, Jin Shin Jyutsu is safe to use and works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

At the end of the treatment you will have the opportunity to learn simple self­help methods that can be used at any time or place through the use of your own touch. What to expect during a treatment: ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Clothes stay on for the duration of the treatment There is no manipulation of the tissues, only light touch Practitioner will place their hands gently on the body in specific locations Treatments create an environment to experience deep relaxation Safe to use on anyone and in all situations Recommended not eat a large meal or drink caffeine before a treatment

As a certified yoga instructor, Jin Shin Jyutsu and Reiki 1&2 practitioner, she has woven together her background of graphic design and fashion with yoga, healing, and meditation, to make a dynamic offering to her clients.
